Onboarding Steps

Follow this sequence the first time you set up Draftto.

  1. 1
    Create your account
Go to the Register page, enter your email and password, then verify your email address. You have a 48-hour grace window to explore before email verification is enforced on AI generation features.
  2. 2
    Create your first Workspace
Workspaces are the top-level container for all your content. Click New Workspace on the Workspaces page and give it a name (e.g. your website or brand name).
  3. 3
    Connect content sources
Inside your workspace, add RSS Feeds (for auto-article generation from news/blogs) and/or Search Seeds (for Google News / Search-based ideas). You need at least one source to start generating.
  4. 4
    Configure Settings
Go to Settings → Workspace to add your WordPress endpoint and credentials if you want auto-publishing. Optionally add your own AI API keys (Anthropic / OpenAI) to use your own quota.
  5. 5
    Generate your first article
Go to Articles and click Generate. Pick a source (feed item, search seed, or keyword), confirm the title and prompt, then watch the AI write it. Review, score, and publish.
  6. 6
    Connect social accounts
For X (Twitter) posts and outreach, go to Settings → Connections and authorize your X account via OAuth. For Instagram, connect your account the same way.
  7. 7
    Explore the Dashboard
The Dashboard shows your daily streak, XP level, article counts, and upcoming scheduled posts at a glance. Use it as your daily starting point.

Workspaces

A workspace is a project container that groups feeds, seeds, keywords, articles, social posts, and WordPress credentials together. Think of one workspace per website or brand.

Creating a Workspace

  1. 1
    Navigate to Workspaces
Click Workspaces in the left navigation bar.
  2. 2
    Click "New Workspace"
Enter a name and optional description. Each workspace is fully isolated from others.
  3. 3
    Open the workspace detail
Click on the workspace card to open its detail view, which contains tabs for Feeds, Seeds, Keywords, Silos, and Settings.

Workspace Tabs

TabPurpose
FeedsManage RSS feeds that act as article source material.
SeedsKeyword and search seeds that drive article topic discovery.
KeywordsDataForSEO-powered keyword research and LSI terms. Pro
SilosPillar-and-cluster content architectures. Enterprise
SettingsWordPress credentials, AI provider keys, and workspace preferences.

Account & Settings

General Settings

  • Change your display name and email address.
  • Update your password at any time.
  • Manage notification preferences.

Workspace Settings

Inside a workspace, the Settings tab lets you configure:

  • WordPress URL + App Password — the endpoint Draftto uses to auto-publish articles to your WordPress site.
  • Anthropic API Key — bring your own Claude key to use your own token quota instead of the platform key.
  • OpenAI API Key — same as above for GPT-4o generation.
  • Image providers — Stability AI, Replicate, and Pexels credentials for AI-generated or stock featured images.
  • X (Twitter) OAuth — connect your X account for posting and outreach.
  • Instagram credentials — connect your Instagram account for post publishing.
💡
If you don't add your own AI keys, Draftto uses its platform key and deducts from your plan's monthly generation credits.

Articles Free

Articles are the core output of Draftto. Each article is AI-written, SEO-scored, and ready to publish to WordPress or download.

Generating an Article

  1. 1
    Open Articles
Click Articles in the sidebar. You'll see a list of all articles across all workspaces.
  2. 2
    Click "Generate"
A dialog opens. Choose your source: Feed item (from an RSS feed), Search Seed (from a Google search), Keyword Seed, or a custom topic.
  3. 3
    Review the title & prompt
Draftto pre-fills a title and a generation prompt based on your source. Edit either before confirming.
  4. 4
    Watch it generate
The article streams in real time. A live progress indicator shows which section is being written.
  5. 5
    Review & publish
Open the article editor to review content, run AEO/GEO scoring, pick a featured image, and publish to WordPress.

ℹ️
The editor auto-saves your changes. You don't need to press Save manually — changes are persisted after a short debounce.

Content Silos Enterprise

A content silo is a hierarchical cluster of related articles built around a single pillar topic. Silos improve topical authority and internal linking for SEO.

Silo Structure

🏛️
Pillar Article
The authoritative overview of the main topic. Links out to all sub-pillars.
📑
Sub-Pillar Articles
Deepen specific angles of the pillar. Link to related clusters and back to the pillar.
📄
Cluster Articles
Long-tail, highly specific articles. Link up to sub-pillars and pillar.

Creating a Silo

  1. 1
Open your workspace → Silos tab
    Click Plan New Silo.
  2. 2
    Enter your pillar topic
Example: "Sustainable Home Gardening". Draftto will plan an entire Pillar + Sub-Pillar + Cluster hierarchy automatically.
  3. 3
    Review the plan
Inspect the proposed article titles and structure. Approve or edit before generating.
  4. 4
    Generate all articles
Draftto bulk-generates every article in order, inserting internal-link placeholders as it goes.
⚠️
Only one silo generation can run at a time per workspace. Starting a second generation while one is in progress is blocked.

Publishing Silos

You can publish the entire silo to WordPress at once, either live (public) or as drafts for review before going live. Choose the publish mode in the silo settings.

AEO Scoring — Answer Engine Optimization Free

AEO Score measures how likely an article is to be quoted or cited by AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Bing AI). A higher score means the content is more structured, authoritative, and quotable.

AEO Dimensions

DimensionWhat it measures
Direct AnswerDoes the article answer the target question clearly and early?
FAQ CoverageAre related questions addressed in a Q&A format?
Concrete DataAre stats, numbers, and evidence present?
Structure & ScannabilityHeadings, lists, and tables that AI can parse.
Authority SignalsAuthor bio, citations, publication date.
Content DepthSufficient word count and topical coverage.

How to use the AEO scorer

  1. 1
Open an article in the editor
Click the AEO Score tab in the right panel.
  2. 2
    View dimension scores
Each dimension shows a score and specific, actionable feedback on what to improve.
  3. 3
    Click "AI Fix"
Draftto generates a repaired version of the article with improved AEO signals. Review the diff and apply or discard.
💡
The public /aeo-score page lets anyone audit any URL for AEO quality — no login required. Share it with clients or link to it from your blog.

GEO Scoring — Generative Engine Optimization Pro

GEO Score measures how well an article is positioned to appear in AI-generated search results (Google SGE, Bing Copilot, Perplexity). It goes deeper than AEO by evaluating trust signals and citation potential.

GEO Dimensions

DimensionWhat it measures
EEAT SignalsExperience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness indicators.
External CitationsLinks to authoritative third-party sources (verified server-side).
Statistical EvidenceVerifiable statistics, surveys, and studies.
Content DepthComprehensive coverage without fluff.
Structured MarkupSchema.org, FAQ, and HowTo markup potential.
FreshnessRecency signals in the content.

GEO Repair

The AI repair tool for GEO is Enterprise-only. It rewrites sections of the article to improve EEAT signals, insert verified citations, and add statistical evidence. Citation URLs are verified server-side before being inserted — hallucinated URLs are automatically filtered out.

ℹ️
New users who import an article from a URL get one free GEO repair to experience the feature before upgrading.

Keyword Intelligence Pro

The Keywords tab inside a workspace connects to DataForSEO to give you real search-volume data, LSI keyword suggestions, competitor benchmarks, and People Also Ask (PAA) questions.

Features

  • Search volume — monthly global and local search volume for any keyword.
  • LSI keywords — semantically related terms to include for topical depth.
  • Competitor benchmarking — see what competing URLs rank for and their estimated traffic.
  • People Also Ask — Google PAA questions pulled live via DataForSEO SERP.
  • Keyword density analysis — checks your article for proper keyword saturation without over-optimization.
ℹ️
Keyword data is powered by DataForSEO. Check the keyword-data status endpoint at GET /api/workspaces/:id/keyword-data-status to confirm the integration is active.

  • 🟣
Purple dot — Instagram post scheduled that day.
  • 🔵
Blue dot — Article scheduled that day.

Click a day to see all items already scheduled. Five preset time slots are offered (9 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, 6 pm, 9 pm) with amber highlight when a slot is near an existing item.

X Outreach Enterprise

X Outreach runs automated engagement campaigns on X. The AI discovers relevant tweets, evaluates them for fit, and drafts replies or quote posts on your behalf — all with configurable approval controls.

    Create a Campaign
Name the campaign and configure its source: keyword search or home timeline monitoring.
  2. 2

    Activate the campaign
Toggle the campaign to active. Draftto will poll for new tweets and process them on its schedule.

Campaign Stats

  • Total replies sent this week.
  • Reply rate (sent vs. discovered tweets).
  • Queued replies awaiting manual approval.
  • Campaign source badge (keyword search vs. home timeline).
⚠️

Instagram Posts Pro

Generate AI-assisted Instagram posts (image + caption) and publish them directly from Draftto.

Creating an Instagram Post

  1. 1
    Go to Instagram Posts
Click Instagram Posts in the sidebar.

  4. 4
    Schedule or publish
Post immediately or use the SchedulePicker to schedule. The calendar view shows all upcoming posts.

Scheduling

Draftto has a unified scheduling system that works across Articles, X Posts, and Instagram Posts.

How Scheduling Works

  • Any content item can be scheduled from its editor or list view using the SchedulePicker.
  • The SchedulePicker fetches a live 2-week density map so you can see what is already queued each day.
  • Five preset time slots (9 am, 12 pm, 3 pm, 6 pm, 9 pm) are offered for quick scheduling. A custom time input is also available.
  • The API endpoint GET /api/workspaces/:id/schedule?from=YYYY-MM-DD&to=YYYY-MM-DD returns all scheduled items in the date range.
💡
Time slots highlighted in amber already have a nearby item scheduled. Spread your posts across different slots to maximise reach.

RSS Feeds

Feeds are RSS/Atom sources that Draftto monitors for new content. Each new feed item can be turned into an article with one click.

Adding a Feed

  1. 1
Open your workspace → Feeds tab
    Click Add Feed.
  2. 2
    Enter a URL
Paste a website URL or RSS feed URL. Draftto runs automatic feed discovery to find the RSS endpoint even if you paste the homepage URL.
  3. 3
    Confirm and save
Draftto validates the feed and starts polling for new items.
ℹ️
Feed discovery uses a multi-strategy approach: it tries common RSS paths, parses <link rel="alternate"> tags, and checks known CDN patterns to find a valid feed even from a bare domain URL.

Search Seeds

Search Seeds are keywords or phrases that Draftto queries on Google Search / Google News to find trending topics for article generation.

Adding a Search Seed

  1. 1
Open your workspace → Seeds tab
    Click Add Seed.
  2. 2
    Enter a keyword
Example: "electric vehicle charging". Draftto will search Google for fresh results around this topic.
  3. 3
    Generate from results
Draftto surfaces the top Google results for that seed. Pick one and click Generate Article to turn it into AI-written content.

WordPress Integration

Draftto publishes articles directly to your WordPress site using the WordPress REST API and Application Passwords.

Setting Up WordPress

  1. 1
Create an Application Password in WordPress
In WordPress admin → Users → Profile, scroll to "Application Passwords", enter a name (e.g. "Draftto"), and click Add New Application Password. Copy the generated password.
  2. 2
    Add credentials to Draftto
In your workspace's Settings tab, paste your WordPress site URL and the Application Password.
  3. 3
    Publish from the editor
Open any article and click Publish to WordPress. Draftto sends the article as a Gutenberg-compatible block post, auto-assigns categories and tags, and sets the featured image.

WordPress Publish Options

  • Publish live — posts immediately as a public article.
  • Publish as draft — sends to WordPress in draft status for a final human review before going live.
  • Update existing post — re-pushes revised content to overwrite the current WordPress post body.
  • Category & tag suggestions — the AI suggests the best categories and tags based on the article content.
  • Featured image — select from AI-generated or stock images; Draftto uploads it to the WordPress media library automatically.
⚠️
Make sure the Application Password belongs to a WordPress user with the Author role or higher. Editor or Administrator is recommended for full category/tag management.
